War Crimes

Courtesy of CNN

The Lebanese FM was crying at a press conference the other day because, as he reported, 40 people had been killed in an Israeli airstrike. He later reluctantly informed the media that it was in fact only 1 person that had died. Rest assured that the majority of the Arab media continue to tout the original number.

In other news, Reuters, the world news agency, has just admitted that one of its photographers had doctored images in order to portray Israel in a bad light. Adnan Hajj sent in a picture of an airstrike in Beirut, and he sloppily used the 'clone' tool in Adobe Photoshop in order to make the smoke look more excessive. He is also responsible for a photo of an Israeli jet firing flares. The jet fired one, but our buddy Hajj tweaked the image, making it appear to be three flares.

Remember to stick to reputable news sources only.

Hey Avi,

Thought I'd do a little write in while I had the time. New York's pretty nice, although it's still quite hot. I actually saw that piece on Fox News Channel last night. O'Rielly's got one heck of a weird show, but it's hard for me to disagree with his stance on Israel (at least from last night's show).

Recording's going well. We should have the main parts of the demo done pretty soon. Then comes mixing.

That's all for now.

That's really exciting stuff. What's it like in the studio? Do you have the big ol' glass wall with the cigar chomping manager on the other side? Does the mixing board have a million little switches?

Dude, we're recording in a shul, hehe.
Cool thing is the sound quality's great. Setup we've got is pretty simple, excluding the software.
Running a computer, a mic and three sound outputs on the top floor of the shul. We've got all kinds of programs at our disposal, multitracking and sound warping (pretty much whatever we need to come up with what we want), and things are coming along well. We've finished putting together somewhere between three or four songs already.

Last recording day is Thursday. After that will be more mixing, but I'll be back in T.O. when that's going on.

Dude. That's awesome. It must be so amazing to be part of such a rich expression of creativity. I can only imagine the satisfaction when something sounds just right. Speaking of which, last night I was up until 7 am with my cousin and brother and his crazy night owl friends. My cousin and his friend has a wicked 2+ hour duel guitar (one acoustic, one electric) jam session and absolutely blew my mind, if only I had taken up on the drinks...Israel is interesting, though. Weird, but interesting. Completely different experience than the one I had a few years prior.

Err...Dual guitar, though if they were dueling that would have been uber awesome!

That's really awesome. Ever heard of the song 'Duelling Banjoes'? That's what just came to mind.

Yeah - the Israel you are experiencing must be so different from just a few years ago.

It must be great to see your brother, cousin, and Joey. What's next on the 'Tour de Moe'? Heading to Thailand?

Speaking of the 'Tour de Moe', Joey met his Monopoly doppleganger when he played Coby. They used similar tactics of manipulation, and my prior knowledge of Joey's slick moves ultimately led to his defeat.

But the winner was Coby
