I like speaking

I gave a two hour lecture/presentation tonight, and I really enjoyed it! I was never a huge fan of public speaking before, but I knew it was important, so I'd barrel through some talks here and there, but I had never spoken for more than thirty minutes.

I knew what I was talking about, presented the material to a sizable audience in a clear and well articulated way (I hope!), and I even kept my cool when a journalist showed up unannounced and started recording me. If her article goes to press, I'm hoping that I don't get misquoted. It has happened to me before.

I learned something new about myself tonight - namely that I enjoy public speaking. As long as I know what I'm talking about.

Back in Canada

I haven't updated in a while. Sorry.

It's just that, I guess when I update my blog from Canada, it means I've truly returned to this northern rock. Don't get me wrong - I love Canada, but I had grown very accustomed to spending my days in the land of my fathers. Now I must officially be back in Toronto, Canada, if I'm blogging from here.
