An Open Letter to Owen Wilson

Dear Mr. Wilson,

You don’t know me, but I’m a fan of your work. As of my writing this, I recently heard that according to various reports, you attempted to commit suicide. There is a lot of speculation about the circumstances surrounding the incident. As you begin the healing process, I would like you to know that thousands of your fans and admirers are wishing for your recovery and continued success in your film career.

I don’t know you. I just know of you, and after having cultivated a screen persona as an affable, laugh inducing figure, your suicide attempt is all the more shocking. You have a lot to live for, and I am not referring to your multi-million dollar bank account. I speak of your family, friends, and the promise that a new day can bring. You are hurting right now, and you should be aware that you are not alone.

All the best,

- Avi

Seth Rogen

This video clip features Seth Rogen inviting an interviewer into his home for a round of Nintento Wii and an honest talk about what it's like to have your high school dream turn into a big movie.

Watch carefully to spot the mezuzah on the doorpost! And check out that crazy matzoh ball pillow. Rogen is keeping it real. I like this guy.

Video: Bohemian Singalong

A singalong at Toronto's 'Frog and Firkin' pub. It was at Joey's party - his last night in Toronto for 2007. Unedited and uncut. It's like virtual reality! Or not.

Liam Kyle Sullivan

You may know Liam Kyle Sullivan from his YouTube hit video "Shoes". It has been viewed over 4 million times. Sullivan is one of the top subscribed comedians on the site and his sketch comedy is the closest thing I can find to the Kids in the Hall these days. He was recently cast in a new VH1 series - "I Hate My 30s", and it looks really funny. It combines scripted comedy with unexpected musical breakout scenes, and some full song sequences have been posted online.

Check out 'Wedding Nights' from "I Hate My 30s". If you are a Grease fan, you will find the song and dance a little extra funny:

Iran arrests "satanic" youth rockers

This was reported by AP on J-Post:

A witness said police raided the concert as it was going to end late Wednesday night near the town of Karaj, some 50 kilometers west of the capital.

"Police detained the young people who had gathered to enjoy music in a private orchard," said the witness, who requested anonymity for fear of government retaliation.

Calls to authorities were not immediately returned on Sunday, but the public prosecutor in Karaj, Ali Farhadi, said Saturday that about 230 people were arrested during the underground concert, which he described as "satanic."
